Queer Kin Unity was created with one purpose: to build a safe, affirming space where BIPOC 2SLGBTQIA+ kin can connect, grow, and truly belong.

Our community deserves spaces where we can show up as our authentic selves—spaces that foster meaningful relationships, celebrate joy, and encourage personal growth. Whether it's through game nights, karaoke, dance workshops, wellness conversations, or community events, every gathering is designed with intention, care, and connection at its heart.

The idea for Queer Kin Unity grew from a gap I experienced firsthand. After the pandemic, it became increasingly difficult to find welcoming spaces where BIPOC queer and trans people could meet like-minded individuals, build genuine friendships, and simply enjoy being in community together. What began as a casual night for people to mingle quickly grew into regular game nights and community events, with many sharing how meaningful it was to finally have a place where they felt they belonged.

As I listened to our community, I also recognized another need: accessible opportunities to learn and grow. Many of us have not had equal access to resources around mental health, financial literacy, nutrition, healthy relationships, and other life skills—especially as adults navigating our personal and professional lives. Queer Kin Unity exists not only as a place to connect, but as a place to learn, share knowledge, and support one another.

At its heart, Queer Kin Unity is about building a community rooted in belonging, joy, and collective care. My promise is to continue creating intentional spaces where BIPOC 2SLGBTQIA+ kin can connect, learn, celebrate, and thrive—through shared experiences, creative expression, and opportunities for lifelong growth.

Because everyone deserves a community where they feel seen, valued, and at home.
